Telehealth Therapy for Newark, NJ
Specialty Telehealth Care for Newark / Essex County — around 305,000 residents
Specialty therapy for Newark, NJ — without the commute
Newark clients book sessions from the Ironbound, Downtown, University Heights and Forest Hill. Telehealth means no Path or NJ Transit transfer to a Manhattan therapist, and no driving Routes 21, 280 or the Turnpike to a North Jersey clinic.
Newark is a hub for healthcare workers (University Hospital, Rutgers NJMS, RWJBarnabas), legal and government employees Downtown, Rutgers-Newark students, and tightly-knit Portuguese, Brazilian, Haitian and West African communities, especially in the Ironbound. We commonly see first-generation adults working through religious trauma, OCD, and the impact of cumulative racism-related stress.
Why Newark residents choose this practice
- Skip a PATH/NJ Transit ride to a Manhattan-priced therapist
- Specialized OCD/ERP that most general North Jersey clinics don't offer
- Sessions in Portuguese-, Spanish-speaking households are easier from home
- Privacy from coworkers in the University Heights medical campus
- Same therapist whether you're in Newark, East Orange or Irvington

Newark therapy FAQ
Do you take Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of NJ?
No — we are in-network only with Cox Health Plans and Aetna. Horizon NJ clients are seen at the self-pay rate and submit a superbill for out-of-network reimbursement.
Can I be seen if I commute to NYC for work?
You can be seen as long as you are physically in New Jersey (or another PSYPACT state) at the time of the session. A session taken from your Manhattan office is a New York session, which is not covered by our NJ licensure.
Are sessions confidential from my employer at University Hospital?
Yes. We do not share notes or attendance with employers. Sessions are HIPAA-compliant and protected like any other healthcare visit.
Can I do a session in Portuguese or Spanish?
Sessions are conducted in English, but many of our Ironbound and Newark clients are comfortable bilingual speakers and use English with their therapist while thinking in their first language.
How soon can I start?
Most Newark clients are seen within 1–2 weeks of their consult.
